- Real review: "If you have very thick plaster walls, this thing is the best." I've tried everything from powerful magnets to a stud finder, and my problem has always been that the plaster on my walls is so thick that I can't feel the magnet sticking. Studpop gives you a visual when metal is found, unlike the others I mentioned, and this has been a game changer. I can barely feel the magnetic pull when the stud finds a nail, but it appears as advertised and it is indeed a stud. This is a great little tool and I was skeptical because the magnet didn't seem as strong as some of the other magnets I used, but that's what makes this magnet really great. I highly recommend it
- MORE POWERFUL THAN THE COMPETITION: StudPop's unique design makes it much more sensitive than any other magnetic stud detector, making it ideal for any type of construction, including difficult surfaces like lath, plaster and tiles.
- Don't be fooled – all other magnetic nail detectors work only on Sheetrock. But the StudPoP will work on stones, slats, plaster and tiles
- Forget about electronic batteries: they depend on unreliable batteries and an awkward calibration procedure and they almost never work on lath and plaster. Bottom line: save your money because most of them aren't very good at anything:(
- Fun and easy to use: the StudPoP makes finding nails fun with its 2.5 cm diameter movable magnet that gives a clicking sound and visual movement when a fastener is found. There is nothing easier than this
- Perfect for owners of older homes: due to the way walls were made in the 'old days', the StudPoP is the must-have stud detector for people with those impossible walls.
- More comments: "Finally, a stud detector that works on my slatted and plaster walls built in 1950! The Z* and C* weren't worth it, but this little $11 StudPop found nails on 3 separate nails in less than 5 minutes. Interestingly, I didn't even start my research as one would logically from a point of sale; I just started looking in the middle of a wall and I didn't think my uprights were evenly spaced, as it turns out they are not.) I then tested it on a different wall that has shelves hung on L-brackets, and it reliably points out nails vertically under each bracket. I can't wait to hang my TVs and cabinets using this handy little gadget. »
- "This is an incredibly effective and fantastic tool. I had no idea how effective they were. My expensive stud finder is mediocre to mediocre for most uses. This simple magnetic tool sits firmly on each drywall screw. Use it to find each screw and easily trace where the studs are. Worth every penny. Save time and frustration. »
